STEM Discussion with Dr. Giselle Benitez ('02)
Dr. Giselle Benitez ’02 is the associate director of pharmacometrics at Boehringer Ingelheim, a leading research-driven biopharmaceutical company.
She will be visiting Utica University to speak with our STEM students about her journey -- where her passion for science started, her time at Utica, how she went about getting into the workforce, and sharing any advice for overcoming adversity.
The talk will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 14 in Macfarlane Auditorium in DePerno Hall, but attendees can also attend via Zoom.
This event is free and open to the public.
CNY Conference on Environmental Studies and Science
The Graduate Student Association at ESF in collaboration with The Graduate School, Research Office, and CNY LSAMP is pleased to announce the first ever CNY Conference on Environmental Science and Studies.
The conference will be held at SUNY-ESF’s Syracuse campus on April 7-8, 2023, and is a student led event with the explicit intent of providing students in Central New York an opportunity to present their work and workshop research ideas with peers.
Thematic areas include emerging topics in environmental and natural resources research, complexity and uncertainty within socio-ecological systems, environmental determinants and health equity, thinking of the future: echoes of the past in the present environment, ecological and social implications of a changing climate, issues of justice: equity in ESS research, local impacts of global challenges: environmental stories of Syracuse.
